Gentle Dentistry

Incise And Drainage
Incision and drainage and clinical lancing are minor surgical procedures to release pressure built up under the tissue such as from a dental abscess.
 
Emergency Dental Treatment
Dental emergencies can be scary or worrisome. Contact us as soon as possible to determine what treatment will be needed.
 
Biopsies
A biopsy is a medical procedure in which a doctor doctor removes a sample of tissue that is sent to a laboratory for testing.
 
Fillings
A dental restoration or dental filling is a treatment to restore the function, integrity, and morphology of missing tooth structure resulting from dental decay or trauma.
 
Oral Surgery
Refers to any surgical procedures performed in or around your mouth, including a dental extraction.
 
Extractions
A dental extraction is the removal of teeth from the socket in the bone. Extractions are performed for a wide variety of reasons, but most commonly to remove teeth which have become non-restorable due to decay, periodontal disease or trauma.
 
Nitrous Oxide/Conscious Sedation
“Laughing gas” is a safe and effective method of providing relaxation and reducing anxiety associated with dental procedures.

Periodontal Treatment
Periodontal (Gum) Disease is a serious gum infection that damages gums and can destroy the jawbone. Steps to treat this problem should be addressed immediately.
 
Dentures
Dentures are prosthetic devices constructed to replace missing teeth, and are supported by the surrounding soft and hard tissues of the oral cavity. Conventional dentures are removable.
 
Veneers
A veneer is a layer of material placed over a tooth, veneers improve the aesthetics of a smile and/or protect the tooth’s surface from damage.
 
Bridges
A dental bridge is a false tooth (called a pontic) that is held in place by the abutment teeth on either side of the gap.
 
Periodontal Splinting
Periodontal stabilization splints are used to stabilize teeth which have become loose as a result of losing the supportive bone around them due to periodontal/gum disease.
 
Partial Dentures
Partial Dentures are a removable device constructed to replace missing teeth and are supported by the remaining teeth.
 
Crowns
Porcelain crowns or caps go over teeth to protect the and improve appearance & function.
 
Implant Bridges
An implant bridge permanently replaces up to 12 teeth in either jaw, supported on five or six dental implants.
 
Laser Gum Treatment
The laser removes diseased tissue, kills bacteria, and promotes healing.
 
Implant Supported Dentures
Implant supported dentures are dentures that clip or lock onto the implants. Multiple implants are required to support a denture. Implant dentures are much more stable than regular dentures.
 
Crown Lengthening
Crown lengthening is a procedure performed to gain access to tooth structure that is under the gum tissue and bone.
 
Root Canals
Root canal treatment is performed in order to save a tooth that has had its nerve canal compromise. Bacterial decay infecting the nerve or inflammation of the nerve of a tooth, are the most common causes for needing a root canal.
 
Gum Surgery
A gingival graft, also called gum graft or periodontal surgery, is a generic name for any of a number of periodontal surgical procedures.
 
Temporary Dentures
Temporary dentures are interim dentures placed during  the fabrication of the final denture.
 
Implant
Implants are metal devices or pegs placed in the jaw bone to replace missing teeth.
 
Implant Crowns
An implant crown is a crown supported by a dental implant. An implant is a metal peg placed in the jaw where a tooth is missing.
